John Miller founded the Safemaster Co. in Washington, D.C. He is best known for the notable people he apprenticed into our trade: i.e. James L. Taylor, Gerald J. Connelly, Russell Walker, Eddy Miller and many others. His son, Harry C. Miller, was president of Sargent & Greenleaf and the 1957 Philadelphia Award recipient. His grandson, J. Clayton Miller, is the president of Lockmasters and the 1990 Philadelphia Award recipent.
