302: ALOA Fire Door Inspector Certification & Exam

Description:
Learn how to be a Certified Fire Door Inspector and earn more money just by doing the inspections. This class will cover the do’s and don’ts to hold a successful Fire Door inspection, and provide the proper reports to the customer. The AFDI Exam will be administered at the end of the class. You will also receive the AFDI Manual to keep. You must complete the door inspection portion and pass the PRP exam to gain the AFDI Certification.
After passing the PRP EXAM you will receive the Certificate of Certification from ALOA and your photo ID card. This certification is good for three years and then must be retaken.

A GPLA certificate suitable for framing will be awarded to each student.

About the instructors::
Thomas Foxwell RL, AFDI, CFDI is a Baltimore Native Son. Tom served in the United States Marines and was attached to the White House Presidential Helicopters HMX-1 with White House Top Secret Clearance. After leaving the marines in 1967, he first began working in the locksmith industry as a field service technician, and then as a Manufacturer’s Representative for Securitron, HES, Folger Adams and Adams Rite and finally with the After-Market team with ASSA-ABLOY DSS Chesapeake.
Tom decided it was time to do something to give back to the industry and so he ran for the ALOA Board of Directors, was elected as the ALOA North East director in 2006 and was reelected in 2008. In 2010, he was elected as the ALOA Board Secretary. He was reelected to the position in 2012 and 2014. In 2015 he ran and was elected to the position of President of the ALOA Security Professionals Board and served in the position until 2017. He then stepped down to the position of Trustee to serve the next two presidents. In 2022, Mr. Foxwell was elected as Secretary of ALOA for a two-year term, as well as being presented with the prestigious Philadelphia Award.
